Are Airsoft Guns Safe For Kids?

Many parents who have slightly older kids may be getting pestered to allow them to buy or use an Airsoft gun or attend an Airsoft event. This leaves most parents asking Are Airsoft Guns Safe For Kids? Should I let my kids use them and what are the dangers of letting them near such products?

Airsoft is very similar to paintball, which is very popular all over the world. Airsoft events are organised by specialist teams and companies, where people can go an play games based around shooting each other, capturing objectives and generally having fun. These events are controlled by a strict code of practice and companies who offer them must have signed up with the relevant authorities to allow them to do so.

Like paintball, Airsoft can hurt you, unless the correct precautions are used. Helmets, goggles and padding must be worn and places that offer events will also enforce strict rules on how far away you must be before you can fire. They also forbid purposely shooting at someone in their head.

As long as the correct processes and procedures are followed, Airsoft is safe for children. Wearing goggles and a face mask or helmet are a must and any additional body padding can be used to help stop the impact of each of the small plastic rounds that an Airsoft gun fires. There should be an adult that is capable of enforcing the rules and uses of the weapons and also someone that is sensible and trustworthy.

As with any extreme sport or play that involves strenuous activity, there will be an element of risk involved. For children under the age of 16 or 21, the parents may need to sign a waiver or disclaimer, stating that they understand the risks involved and that their child is also fit and healthy enough to participate in such a sport or activity. As with paintballing, small bruises may be left by the impact of the Airsoft pellets, but these usually fade after a few days. In some circumstances, the skin may be broken but the wound is only very slight and will heal very quickly.

So in summary, the answer is that Airsoft guns are safe to use provided that the child in question can follow rules and orders. Provided that they are under the guidance of a responsible adult, there should be no reason why they cannot participate in Airsoft activities and games.

Buying Airsoft guns is also easy and they can be ordered from many different Internet websites, without the need to prove your age or consent.

Airsoft Gun Versatility

When thinking of the market for airsoft guns, the demographic of males ages 13-24 usually pops up. However, while the majority of consumers are of that profile, airsoft guns can be fun for anyone, of any gender or age. The demographics of users are proportional to the wide range of uses of the guns. Many people simply have not used an airsoft product before, and therefore are not aware that they may have an interest in it.

Decades ago, young boys ran around with Daisy BB guns, shooting spheres of metal at anything they took a fancy to. Thankfully, today's guns are much safer and practical. Kids as young as eight can safely operate a basic airsoft gun, and even participate in small games. There is practically no age limit for due to safety advancements, although admittedly it would be unwise to give a two-year old a gun.

Even people who are not athletically inclined can have fun with airsoft guns. The two most popular alternatives to the game are target shooting and marksmanship practice. Target shooters who utilize interesting targets, such as apples or even cans, have an unlimited supply of entertainment on hand. People who want to improve their marksmanship can continuously buy airsoft guns and achieve perfect shooting with each. With the declining cost and increasing options of airsoft guns, it is not that expensive to own five or six good quality ones.

What about girls? As of currently, it is relatively rare to find a female player, but with the rising equality of men and women, this untapped market is getting into sports once thought only to be dominated by males (such as football). Female participation in paintball is growing, and thus participation in airsoft has grown as well, and will continue to grow as more and more women realize that airsoft is a very fun, exciting, and safe sport.

The attribute of airsoft guns that most defines them is their realism, and who would be most interested a gun's realism? The answer is the Baby Boomer Generation, who find large historical value in replica airsoft guns. Many seniors are fascinated with replicas and own dozens of products simply for their appearance. From the above descriptions, it is clear that nearly no one is untouched by the potential of airsoft guns.

Airsoft - Toys?

Airsoft....Toys?

I recently wished to sell an Airsoft gun on a local on-line classifieds page. (an extra one I had on hand) I detailed the description, threw in a picture and shortly after submitting..To my surprise, My ad was flagged, refused and rejected.

I immediately went to the forum to ask why? (It seems his classified allows its viewers to flag and remove YOUR products.)

I was told, "It's a gun."

I replied  "It is a Toy!  My ad specifically said "Airsoft". Which means it uses Airsoft PLASTIC BB's. No bullets, No pellets, hence the word "Air Soft". " The same person tells me " It looks like a gun."

I'm dumbfounded!! Yes! Indeed it does. It is Suppose to!

Am I the only one in this world, that played with brothers who had Metal shiny Fake "pop" guns as a child? You know..the ones "without" the Bright orange tips and looking, very realistic?

We played cop's and robbers. You were the good guy..if you were able to play the cop! We would spend hours on end running around the neighborhood, hiding in bushes and behind trees...yelling stop or I'll shoot! Those were the BEST days! A guarded memory of a wonderful stable childhood.

Yes, Our society today has become a little different since "way back when". Our children now spend numerous hours on end sitting in one spot playing on computers, Home video games, which has been proven (in over exposure) to cause behavioral problems & obesity from the lack of exercise. But has anyone looked at what they are playing? A good majority of the time, its games of killing ..for others (play) money and prizes. (it isn't just pong anymore people!) Tell me what this "play" is teaching our children?

Airsoft comes into play, as the modern day, cops and robbers or the primal "hunting" game. Which Nobody gets "hurt". (yes if it hits you in the eye..it can hurt...but anything that hits you in the eye..will!)

Exercise with this gaming is defiantly a plus in today's "fast food" & convenience slammed world. Along with teaching our children to get along, share & "play right". Which, in my opinion are well needed skills for Adulthood. Airsoft is not being used to "rob" people, To cheat people etc. It is simply a game of modern day "cops and robbers." Or our primitive instinct of Hunting.

Being flagged and removed, made me wonder. Wonder how the slingshot (which can be more powerful than any airsoft gun), the bow and Arrow, or violent Video game offered for sale.. did not receive a flag or removal?. It made me wonder just what people in this day and age think is harmful to our children.

I have children (7 to be exact - teenage and older) Yes we have 2 video consoles in my home and 3 computers! I do not buy my children "real" guns, violent video games, etc. I do not allow my children to "hang" on the computer or video console. Computers are for homework, and an hour of fun (limited)..with parental controls. Video gaming is a timed "treat" for them to play when chores are finished, homework is done, and they "deserve." it. I am not "downing" video gaming, computers or any of today's technology. I am however wondering what has become of healthy everyday "PLAY". in our world. And why people would consider an Airsoft gun anything other than.. a Toy?

I am the "S" in A&S Direct website : http://www.AandSdirect.net We sell General Merchandise at Very reasonable prices. Our business is centered around our "customers" The average Jane or Joe. Desert Eagle Airsoft Pistols - Great Lethal Support?

Hate to Surrender?

Thinking like the enemy? This is important in war games. But out in the war zone, reality bites. The dynamics of war games require quick thinking, nimble feet, and good firearms. Probably you experienced running out of pellets, and could do nothing about it. When the enemy closed in, you surrendered. If you had a support weapon like those Desert Eagle airsoft pistols, the scene might have ended differently.

Desert eagle airsoft pistols are good support weapons. You can tuck it in your vest fully loaded for some nasty surprises. The powerful Desert Eagle is a licensed product of the Israeli Military Industries. The airsoft replica is equally aggressive, and can hold against other airsoft guns- if you know how to use it to your advantage.

Quick Fire

This high-end airsoft pistol is fully automatic therefore quick to fire. For those ambushes, you can draw the gun quickly and fire away for your dear life. These pistols also have high capacity magazine and adjustable hop-up. The weight and the blow-back of gas power add to the feel of real Desert Eagles.

The CO2 powered Desert Eagle airsoft pistols are more powerful than other airsoft weapons. The gas when heated will jettison the bb pellets. To get maximum performance from the pistol, it is best to keep both pistol and gas warm. When the enemy closes in, a warm gun will do the rest for you.

Desert Eagle airsoft pistols powered by gas, need not to be re-cocked each time you have to shoot; the drawback with gas powered pistols is the tendency to freeze when used to fire repeatedly. It has to be warmed again, and in the meantime while you are it, distance yourself from the enemy lines.

On the other hand, a full-semi automatic pistol gives repeat fire and blowbacks. You can fire away at the advancing enemy troops by just pulling the trigger. The durable spring guns give the kick and power of a real gun too; but you have to cock the slide for each shoot.

So What Would You Choose?

For $139 you can get a CO2 powered desert eagle pistol. With a magazine capacity of 39 rounds, this is a good buy. But if you want sturdier pistols, get spring models. Spring and automatic pistols are well within the I-can-afford-it-price-range. So it is a matter of your personal choice.

Gas powered Desert Eagle airsoft pistols are affordable. These are not difficult to maintain. You need not recharge or renew batteries. Just fill it with CO2, warm it, and you're ready to go. If you are getting an airsoft pistol, think about the advantages, and disadvantage of the three types of airsoft pistols.

If you need easy to maintain, hard hitting guns with a lot of kick, then Desert Eagle airsoft pistols are your best bet. You cannot afford to be re-cocking the gun for the each fire. Can you afford to re-cock the gun repeatedly while the enemies pounding at the gates? Hmmm...

Great gun support like the desert eagle airsoft pistols [http://www.asktheairsoftexperts.com/2007/08/08/electric-airsoft-pistols-or-gas-airsoft-pistols/] can spell a whole of difference to your game. But still you have a lot of choices here in this for ksc airsoft guns [http://www.asktheairsoftexperts.com/2007/08/10/what-can-you-tell-me-about-ksc-airsoft-guns/]. You can also try out this site for cheap bb guns [http://www.asktheairsoftexperts.com/2007/08/09/are-the-cheap-bb-guns-online-worth-buying/] now.

Best Airsoft Guns For The Money

Automatic Electric Guns (AEGs) are best for those needing to have the most firepower as you can get. All AEGs have a selector switch for semi-full auto as needed. When selecting more expensive Airsoft like the AEGs such as JG, Cyma, A&K, AGM & Tokyo Marui you need to decide what style of airsoft games you plan on playing. Some like to play Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Airsoft guns like the JG G36C the JG MP5 the WELL Gas MP5 or the P90 are perfect for CQB. Other airsoft guns, with longer range, are the M14, M16 & the AK47. The Price for most JG, Cyma AEGs range from $94.99 to $249.99+. With most Chinese clones they come with all the accessories like battery and charger but expect to replace the battery with a name brand like Intellect. Best Side Arm

Most of the best side arms are power by green gas. One of my favorites is the Cyma g18C AEP Glock. This pistol is powered by a small 7.2v battery. Has good range thanks to its adjustable hop-up unit. If you need a more powerful airsoft gun, gas is the way to go. Some of the better airsoft guns powered by green gas are Western Arms, KWC and Tokyo Marui.

Most Airsoft Sniper Rifles are spring powered. These airsoft guns are some of the most powerful airsoft guns on the playing field. Ranging from 400-800 FPS, these lone range rifles are perfect for the airsoft gun loner. Airsoft Guns For Recreation

See how an exciting game like airsoft helped Jim bond with his son. I love airsoft for the military feel it gives. Playing it makes me sort of fulfilled as I hoped to enlist in the military as a child, were it not for my reluctant choice of my present career (I had to change, realizing that was actually what I was cut out for). Airsoft guns look real, and they come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, as found in the real gun world. Now back to my story of Jim and his son... Jim always wondered what he could do to get closer with his son, James.

He was never good at video games, although he would try from time to time. His son was not much into sports, he would always lower his shoulders when asked to play catch or join in on a game of football. Jim realized that his son probably wouldn't follow his footsteps of being a star athlete. Although this disappointed Jim, he knew that he would allow his son to make his own life and he would support anything he did. He knew that he could only be there for his son when he needed him. In the meantime, he thought, he would find something that they both enjoyed doing.

Jim would observe his son and asked him what he liked doing. His son would mention how much he liked the new shooter games that were coming out. Jim asked if they were too violent and his son would shrug. Jim would laugh and ask his son to show him the game. When Jim watched his son play the game, he wondered if it was a good idea for his son to be shooting aliens in a realistic environment. He told his son that he should probably wait a couple years before playing that game. He then knew to check out these games before buying them as presents. While Jim was wondering what he could do with his son, he thought about everything that he thought his son liked and tried to base a decision on that. So far, the only thing he knew that his son liked was those 'shooter' games.

He didn't want his son indulging in those games until he was old enough to, so he tried to think of an alternative. He then had an idea. He bought some airsoft guns and asked his son if he wanted to play a game. When his son sulked, Jim brought out the airsoft guns and his son's eyes lit up. He had never played this game before and was actually excited to see if it was like the games he enjoyed. His father took him out to the mountains and set up some soda cans on a nearby stump. He gave his son a crash course in handling a gun, even an airsoft gun, then had him try to knock down the cans. He noticed that his son was having fun, trying harder with each shot to knock the can off the stump. He told Jim that it kind of reminded him of the video game that he had to wait to play.

Jim knew then that he had found something that they both enjoyed doing and spent the rest of the afternoon shooting at cans. These are great as a way to introduce the proper way to handle a gun in a harmless way. It is also a fun past-time for parents who are looking for different ways to engage their children.

Buying an Airsoft Pistol

Stop Looking And Buy An Airsoft Pistol

When you first start looking for an airsoft pistol it is easy to be overwhelmed with the choices. There are many models and different types of airsoft guns to choose from. Even when you know what kind that you want, with all the websites available that offer them for sale, it is hard to choose which one to buy from. It is easy to get lost in the pursuit of the best price for the best. At some point it is time to stop looking and buy an airsoft gun.

The first thing to do is to decide on the type of airsoft pistol that you want to buy. The different types that you can buy include the following types:

Spring powered airsoft pistols shoot a single shot that is propelled down the barrel with the energy from a spring that is cocked for each shot. They are not capable of being semi-automatic or fully automatic. A spring powered one will not do well in competition. A low cost affordable one that is cheap to shoot.

Electric airsoft pistols shoot a single shot that is propelled down the barrel with energy from an internal piston/spring assembly that is powered by an electric motor. They are capable of being semi-automatic or fully automatic. Electric are used in commonly used in competition. The muzzle velocity can be between 150 and 650 ft/s. It is a moderately cost airsoft pistol. The costs of batteries contribute to the cost of shooting an electric.

Gas powered airsoft pistols shoot a single shot that is propelled down the barrel with pressurized gas. They are capable of being semi-automatic or fully automatic. Commonly green gas is used, but occasionally red gas is used. It is a moderately to high cost airsoft pistol. The cost of gas contributes to the cost of shooting a gas powered.

When choosing a website to buy an airsoft pistol from, you will need to look at the prices, the guarantee offered, the reputation of the site, and the airsoft gun return policy. They can be purchased from local retailers. They might not be able to offer the selection and prices that are available online, but you can buy your gun and shoot it in the same day. A local retailer can also be a resource for local competition, airsoft gun fields, offer airsoft gun repairs, and provide other airsoft gun support. Another option for buying airsoft pistols is to buy pre-owned ones. When purchasing a pre-owned airsoft pistol, you will need to be careful to buy a gun that is in good shape. If you don't have the experience to tell if you are getting a good gun at a good price, bring someone with you who does know about airsoft guns to look at the pistol before you buy one. Some of the places to find pre-owned cheap:

Craigslist
eBay
Classified
Airsoft gun field shop
Retail stores with bulletin boards
Fellow airsoft gun owners

It is good to shop around to find the best guns and the best deals, but at some point you need to stop looking and buy an airsoft gun so you can get out on the field and begin shooting.

Airsoft - what is it? And what kind of weapon should I purchase?

Airsoft has two levels really - causal and expert. Casual works only with guns for target practice and professional is involved with an airsoft team. The advantage of Airsoft guns is you benefit risk of realism and skill combined with a real gun but without the presence of (so much). Airsoft guns seem in fact very much like real life firearms; Realism is a fundamental concept to the activity, which is why almost all weapons, you observe an end of red (indicating that it is Airsoft) have. Real tactics are used in competitions, in contrast to paintball. Airsoft used occasionally simulations guns in real army war. They conduct very similar to actual weapons in the way they feel & function.

Buy cheap Airsoft guns

You need to understand the nature of the weapon, you are after, if you want to get a good deal on your weapon. How is the weapon powered? The weapon will be powered by a spring, where the user withdraws himself (or tails) the gun to give the energy of the spring. A spring powered gun is the cheapest and a sniper rifle (as they are to fire single shots are) best and worst one wants an automatic rifle (because you have to after each shot of cock). Rechargeable electronic guns are the best bet if you want to tap a rapid-fire rifle they automatically the weapon you fun. CO2 pistols are the most realistic, because they use a cartridge as a real weapon that will help, automatic make the weapon semi (you have to tap it). The downside is that you have to buy many cartridges!

From a quick product search, you find that the most expensive Airsoft weapons are sniper rifles. This is because they must have a range, the overhead is and must be perfectly aligned with the field, that further examination is required. When you then go a really cheap weapon for a gun. They can pick it up for less than $20. Guns can be expensive and very high performance, but they can be built cheap with average performance. Rifles are somewhere between the two at a price (in General), it mainly occurs whether or not they are automatic.

Look at Airsoft guns a good place to idea, is on-line but be wary of reviews, could she be written by someone that has done well a financial interest in the product! I think that the best way to cheap Airsoft is get guns from one place, where you go and test it yourself. This could be from a friend, an ad on Craigslist or your local newspaper. Try before you buy!

A weapon that fits your skill level and needs and one that feels just right if you keep it, you should buy. If it your first time to play Airsoft is, cheap Airsoft guns will be in order, it will be difficult for you to recognize the difference between a good and bad! Not! a mega cheap Airsoft Gun if you a professional, but there are are probably you disappoint.

Airsoft Gun safety

Air rifle shooting security is really easy: If you always observe a rule-never, always, show your weapon at anything you don't, that want a hole in - you have to never to regret cause. Airsoft guns are not Cap guns or squirt guns. There is a real potential danger, the Airsoft weapons, not only for children but also adults have. Always ensure, that you know what you are on target, and it what remember you is to beat. Free view has in addition it that where you aspire to look and there is nothing about, which may be in danger. Not a dog you want to shoot cat or child because, through your aim also could not see you. Although air guns are not imitations of real weapons, always keep blank until you are ready, these use and keep your fingers away from the trigger, ready to you, a target on the ground. In the case of a crime; out looks like a real gun air guns so much, It would be difficult to distinguish between the two.

There are many security tips to take in the examination before the use of Airsoft weapons. But above all must wear glasses protect you always at the shoot. Jing Gong Airsoft Guns

Chinese brands get a bad rep in the airsoft world. They are known for being unreliable, ugly, low-performance, and just plain bad. However, a couple of manufacturers have managed to get it together and put out a high-quality product at the low, low price we expect from Chinese brands.

The top of the Chinese runners is Jing Gong. Jing Gong, which apparently translates to Golden Bow, has broken the mold by making airsoft guns that actually work for as low as $100. Many of their guns are rebranded by a company called Echo 1, and together these two companies put out essentially the best entry-level AEGs available.

Jing Gong is a fairly mysterious company. They don't have a website, they don't brand any of their products, and they don't send any company information with anything. Before 2006 they weren't well known in the airsoft world and today they suddenly control a respectable portion of the market.

Much of this has to do with another airsoft company, Echo 1. Echo 1 essentially buys guns from other companies, adds a 30 day warranty, sometimes downgrades the springs, brands them Echo 1, puts them in a new box, and sells them. Though Echo 1 rebrands guns from a few different companies now, most of their models are Jing Gongs.

Which one to buy is up to the consumer. Echo 1 guns usually cost $20-$30 more. But they also have a warranty, something that is virtually unknown in airsoft due to there not being any US manufacturers. They perform quality control as well and you are less likely to get a lemon from Echo 1. They also downgrade the springs in some models, which means they shoot at a slightly lower FPS. However, many Jing Gong AEGs have plastic spring guides and can't really handle the springs JG puts in them, so the downgrade dramatically adds to the life span of the gun. Sometimes Echo 1 adds metal bushings as well, which is good.

Guns from Jing Gong and Echo 1 are not of the highest quality by any means. What they are is extremely good value for money. They work, are reliable, have metal gearboxes, are upgradeable, shoot at high FPS and overall make a great gun. And they can usually be purchased for about half of what a Japanese or Taiwanese manufacturer would be selling the model for.

Many Jing Gong and Echo 1 guns now sport full metal bodies, and some of the AK's have real wood furniture. A lot of these can still be purchased for around $150, which is a truly astounding deal for a reliable AEG with full metal body.

One Jing Gong rifle that really stands out is the Dragon. The Dragon is probably the most unique airsoft rifle ever made. Known variously as the Dragon, STAR Dragon, S.T.A.R. Dragon, and Thunder Maul, nobody seems to know what this rifle is called. Nobody seems to be sure which Japanese anime it was based on either.

The STAR Dragon Thunder Maul 3002 1/2 (as I've taken to calling it) is really just an M4 carbine. However, it's been covered in plastic pieces that make it look like something carried by RoboCop. The outward appearance of the gun is completely changed and may inspire the user to make laser shooting noises while firing it. It is actually extremely comfortable to hold, as it has a strangely ergonomic front grip and a rubberized cheek rest so plush you might fall asleep on it. It comes with a short M4 mag like the ones used on Vietnam-style rifles, but can fit any M4 mag. The grip features a little shelf to rest the user's thumb on. It's comfortable, but means that lefties can't use it comfortably.

Buying My First Airsoft Gun - Tips and Advice For Buying a Good Airsoft Gun For the First Time

So you just played your first game of airsoft using a cheap spring based rifle bought from Wal-Mart or were using a friend's A.E.G. (Automatic Electric Gun) on the field and now you want to trade up. So you get to the store and then realize that you have no idea what you want to buy! Rest assured dear reader because if there is a will, there is a way. The first thing you need to ask yourself before dropping money on a new weapon is "How do I want to play". Exactly what do you want to do once you are in the game?

Do you want to play on the field with an assault rifle or in a warehouse with an SMG (Sub-Machine Gun)? Are you a lone wolf and like the idea of waiting in the grass with your sniper picking off enemies from the distance? Perhaps you want to set up shop with a light machine gun and lay down covering fire for your squad mates. There is a wide arrange of weapons and armaments that can be tailored to your personal preferences. Be practical though; you most likely will not need a short-barreled sub-machine gun in a wide open forest. Conversely you won't get much use out of a sniper rifle in a cramped warehouse.

Now the second thing you need to figure out is your budget. If you are just getting into the sport the best recommendation is an electric M4. This gun is made by nearly every major airsoft manufacturing company out there and has a vast selection of spare parts, accessories, and magazines available for it. Plus it is the easiest gun to upgrade both externally and internally. This way even if the gun was sub-par pre purchase you can always upgrade it to make shoot up there with the best of them. It makes it a perfect choice for someone just starting out.

This doesn't mean however you are limited to just that one gun. Most popular models and gun types are made with varying degrees of quality. Meaning if you wish to get an M249 light-machine gun right off the bat you will be able to find something to fit your needs. Just remember to do your own research on the gun and the manufacturing company before making your first purchase. It can be a bit of a hassle to look all the information up before buying. Doing this will make your first airsoft gun purchase a happy and worthwhile investment.

What is Airsoft and is it safe for my children?

Since its inception in the early 1980s was the sport of Airsoft with popular in all age groups was booming. It was adopted by children as a new form of action entertainment as well as real, non-lethal simulation exercises help with military and law enforcement agencies. But if the words Airsoft and children are used in the same sentence, you can almost always on a long debate between the parents on whether children are allowed to participate in the sport of Airsoft count. What is the debate over? I think before diving into the politics of Airsoft, it is important to have on the definition of Airsoft, the different types of gun and the laws which imposed our great country to explain the sport. What is Airsoft? Airsoft is a tactical game, where players eliminate their opponents by shooting tiny, plastic 6 mm bb (usually with a weight between. 12-. 20 g), launched from Airsoft guns. The sport originated in Japan, if the possession of weapons was illegal. The people of Japan, are white large hobbyists, created detailed metal replicas of real guns that non-lethal plastic granules (also called the bb) are raised. These replicas was jointly launched in the Japanese market and various companies, develops and distributes soft air guns in other countries in Europe and Asia. Finally Airsoft weapons emerged in the United States and the sport has become extremely popular.

Airsoft players have 3 different options when choosing an Airsoft Gun for you. The three types are: spring powered, electrically powered and gas powered. With the purchase of Airsoft guns, the price can vary depending on quality and type. Prices range from $10 for the lowest quality to more than $1,000 for the highest quality. It is recommended for new players from the outset that one low price soft air rifle so you a feel for what kind of weapon is at best their style of play. Are usually spring loaded Airsoft guns in the lower price range, followed by gas and AEG (automatic electric pistols). On Airsoft Gun speed is it in feet per second (ft/s) and varies between 200-500 ft / sec appropriate.

The law gives (in the United States) that an Airsoft Gun is a weapon as is and only by persons over the age of 18 be purchased can. In addition, there are certain restrictions State for the possession of Airsoft weapons. For example, New York has decided that have an Airsoft rifle is illegal because they are to distinguish real firearms, which resemble hard for law enforcement agents. That being said, can restore itself to the central question, "is it safe for my children"? This is where it is tricky and why there will be always a debate to address this problem. In relation to General Airsoft safety as anything that shoots at a high speed, it is essential that you wear always a proper safety equipment (eye protection and protection). Parents who have to play their children Airsoft really enforced these are normally no exceptions! It so far no deaths reported Airsoft for children or adults in the United States related to however there are reports of eye damage as a result of player, not to wear masks or protective eye gear. These cases are rare, but completely with education on Airsoft equipment operation can be avoided.

A further concern regarding Airsoft is location. It is important for all Airsoft play take place in the non-public areas, or areas that are specifically for Airsoft. It is extremely difficult to civilian or law distinguish between certain Airsoft weapons and a real firearm, to avoid any confrontation between scared, enforcement agents, should be monitored this precaution always. Never allow your child to take their Airsoft Gun in the school. This could cause suspension or in some cases, expulsion (keep in mind that Airsoft firearms legally be considered weapons). Finally you transport always your Airsoft weapons in a sealed duffle bag or in the trunk of your vehicle. It is my opinion that are safe for children to use Airsoft guns only under parental supervision. It is whether the parents on their children, ultimately to educate how Airsoft should be played, what precautions should you take and where they allow their children to play Airsoft.

In my opinion, based on the canons speed. I don't think that children under 16 have the feeling to operate a gun, the drives (even a plastic bb) over 350 ft / s young children under 16 years of age with low powered spring Airsoft guns to be launched, which are usually in the speed between 200-300 ft / s. This allows the basic security skills to learn of Airsoft with very low risk. This does not mean that the protective eye gear not should be worn. Keep in mind, not an eye protection is negotiable when it comes to the sport of Airsoft. Also purchase low speed spring pistols are a much cheaper investment for the parents. Finally, you should never keep a loaded Airsoft Gun if your is not in use. If your child takes a break for lunch or a juice box, always consult him / eject the weapons magazine or unloading the weapons-bb. It is also on a good habit, the security if your weapon not in use - leave, even if it is not loaded. This basic safety rules and precautions should help to provide your child a secure Airsoft experience.

The Legal Issues of Using Airsoft Guns

When it comes to the use of airsoft guns there are many issues surrounding the legalities for these weapons. Many people are concerned that these weapons can get into the hands of those who are not trained to use an airgun or pellet gun properly. Other concerns associated with this issue is that children are getting their hands on these weapons and are not properly trained to use an airgun or paintball gun and they may be using it for things outside of a designated firing range. The other issues is that the airsoft gun resembles a real weapon and can be mistaken by law enforcement. There have been several fatalities due to the resemblance of a airgun and a real gun. The issue with airsoft rifles is that some look like real guns and with inexperienced users they don't understand that they have be trained to know what's real and what's not and how they're to carry and transport an airgun.

Airsoft pistols are another concern since airguns have been used by criminals because of how they look like the real thing except they can purchase them and not have to deal with a background check as you would with a real gun. Then you can buy pellets without any real trouble since you have to be of legal age to buy ammunition for a gun. The concern is the legal issues with underage users getting their hands on these guns and are not properly supervised and trained. An untrained user can cause some serious damage with an Airsoft gun if they're not trained by someone who's qualified to handle an airgun or paintball rifle. Inexperienced users can cause serious bodily injury to themselves and if it's used for something illegal it could get them killed or seriously injured if they're up against the police and a shootout happens.

Other issues are convicted felons getting their hands on an Airsoft gun and using it for illegal activities such as a robbery or stick up. It's easy for them to buy an Airgun since you don't need a background check to buy these types of weapons which makes it easier for convicted felons to obtain them. The fact that they can get their hands on an airsoft gun or paintball guns makes the legal concern a lot higher than most people would imagine. The fact that a lot of questions arise legally about mostly inexperienced users using airsoft guns , and not having the proper training and supervision to ensure that safety is being adhered to on properly designated fields that are used for pellet and paintball gun battles. This will be a subject revisited often when it's needed to address concerns surrounding the legality of using airguns. Some states actually have a ban on them because of so many inexperienced users getting their hands on them and not using them the right way.

Because they are dangerous, to avoid injuries, it's important to keep safe and follow the rules in order to use the airguns correctly.

Best Airsoft - What You Need For the Best Airsoft Experience!

If you're just getting into the airsoft world, there are a few things you should stock up on to make sure you can have the best airsoft experience possible. These are everything from fun accessories to essential items you'll need to get your gun working. From the stock to the barrel, this is a look at airsoft guns and what you'll need to get started on this fun and rewarding experience.

Well, in order to have the best airsoft experience, you'll need to be able to shoot your airsoft gun, obviously. To do that, you'll need to load up on some cartridges of ammo. If you have a gas powered gun, this could be in the form of CO2 cartridges, which will let you get off plenty of rounds per cartridge. Go ahead and get a few, because you'll need them. Next, you'll need something to shoot at, so load up on paper target, or feel free to make your own. Even if target shooting isn't your intended purpose, it will help you get a feel for the gun and improve your aim for a competition setting.

While you're shopping for the best airsoft supplies, make sure you pick up a can of cleaning spray. Taking care of your airsoft gun isn't as intricate or necessary as it is with a real firearm, but some attention will need to be paid to this, especially if you use it a lot. You wouldn't want to spend all of your money on a gun and accessories only to have it break down in no time because you didn't care for it properly. If you want to up the ante a bit and improve your accuracy, you might think about buying a scope to fit on your gun. This can be an excellent addition if you find you aren't getting the results you want through the sites.

Finally, make sure you get some plastic BBs to shoot (those cartridges won't do you much good if you don't have any ammo), and some protective wear for your face. Protecting the rest of your body can usually be done through the wearing of a couple of layers of clothing, but you never want to leave your face-and especially your eyes-in danger of being hit by one of the pellets. The best airsoft experience can be fun and safe, but only as long as you take the proper precautions. Remember to observe common sense rules when playing, and you'll be a lot happier in the long run.

Want to Know All About Airsoft Guns? Here is it For You

The airsoft guns came into being in 1980 in Japan. Airsoft guns are the latest toy gun replicas. The airsoft games have been a rage with people worldwide. The reason being the guns are modeled exactly as the real guns are. Even their weight and reloading process is the same. These guns propel the 6mm non-metallic pellets at velocity ranging anywhere between 30-260 m/s by the means of spring-driven piston or compressed gas. It is fun, electrifying and passionate.

The guns are readily available in the market and thus, it is a challenging task to find an airsoft gun of your needs. You must choose a gun which suit your needs and budget well. You must keep the following things in consideration when you are to buy the airsoft gun:

o Cost

o Maintenance

o Functionality

o FPS

o RPM

o Capability

There are three mechanisms of airsoft guns namely:

o Electric powdered gun: they use a battery power to boost the shooting mechanism of the gun. They are quite popular with people and are quite expensive. The biggest advantage is that the spare batteries are quite smaller in comparison to the gas canisters.

o Gas powdered gun: the gas canisters are either attached to the gun by the hose or physically. The pressurized gas propels the airsoft gun BB's. In case you plan to buy the airsoft can with small gas pistols, it is advisable to buy many gas canisters in one go. This will help you evade constant trips to the gas provider and help you save lot of time and energy.

o Spring loaded gun: they are least popular as they are neither automatic nor semi-automatic. After every firing the spring needs to be re-cocked and this obviously hampers the rapid succession of the airsoft gun BB's.

Ask yourself what do you want to do with the gun? Hit the can, if yes then an inexpensive spring pistol will solve your purpose. And in case you want to participate in airsoft games then, an electric or gas rifle is a must! The cost and power of the airsoft guns are positively related. The higher the cost, the higher is the power of the gun.

Most people take the decision keeping the price factor in consideration rather than the purpose. The guns which have high round per minute (RPM) consume Airsoft Guns BB's very fast. Thus, there is a constant need to refill them. Thus, you must never go in for expensive rifles in case you want to shoot the cans.

The airsoft gun BB's should not be considered only a toy gun as many a times some serious injuries have been reported. Thus, it is important to know about the safety measures and the equipments relating to the airsoft games. Wearing an eye-protection is a must! Always cover your unexposed skin like hands, head and neck. Remember, precaution is better than cure, so equip yourself well before you get down to taste the real fun.
